I found myself in Turin the other day, not 100 meters from the newly opened Italian National Motor museum so I went in to take a look. There are 3 floors to make your way through and the exhibits start from the pre and very early days of motor travel and make their way up to the modern day and beyond. I must say that I was impressed with the museum - they have created many interesting scenes and interactive elements that appeal not only to petrol-heads but also to families and the "younger" generation. While I was there a school was visiting and the teenagers were genuinely enjoying the experience. For me the highlight was a double line of Formula 1 cars from all eras lined up on a banking with an enormous wide screen behind showing moving images suggestive of speed with background sound. Well worth a trip!
